A New York State Upstate Chapter, American Planning Association award winner Sandy White has played a significant role in the development of historic Western New York Underground Railroad tourist attractions among them: Broderick Park Redevelopment (Phase One- 1999, Design and Construction), the nationally recognized historic Michigan Street Baptist church; (Building Redevelopment, Streetscaping, and Infrastructure) in the Michigan Avenue Heritage Corridor, and the design and development of the Harriet Tubman Garden Durham A.M.E. Church.
