Mustard Seed World lead a successful participatory planning process in the development of Northland Corridor Redevelopment Project in the City of Buffalo. The $120,000,000 development project is apart of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s New York State Buffalo Billion economic development initiative. The public/private venture has successfully returned distressed properties along the Northland Beltline to productive use. The vibrant home of the Northland Workforce Training Center has been a magnet since it opens its doors with tenants Buffalo Manufacturing Works, SparkCharge, Retech Systems, and Manna Restaurant under its roof. Once a depressed neighborhood, the surrounding community can see progress and transformation in their front yards where employment opportunities for nearby residents, training, manufacturing is now possible. The world-renown Albright Knox Art Gallery attracted by the Northland Vision has expanded to the Beltline making way for what is now a new cultural hub on Buffalo’s East Side.
